Tuesday Throwdown

Happy Happy Tuesday to you all!! Are you ready for the new Challenge??
So Sorry I have not been around to visit you all
for the past week or so. I'm beginning to feel a little like a poster child for
Murphy's Law lately LOL!!  Hubbys been down, I was sick but still
having to work Long days, frig loaded with 2 weeks of groceries
died, brake problems etc.  Im sure you all have the same stuff too!
Anyways I'm back on track and here is this weeks Challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.
A get well card and our sponsor is Karleigh Sue Digi Stamps. I have used the image
Take Time To Smell The Flowers printed twice and part of it cut out and layered to
make more dimension for the image. The bottom floral in a Mary Engelbreit print.
After stitching around the card I decided to add some black checks and cover most of it up!
I Added dots to the Spellbinder Label along with the Sentiment foam dotted
on.and attached with the brads.
We would love to have you stop over and join in the fun this week!

The Challenge for today....

Use a clear element on your creation. The gals from Tuesday Throwdown Team B
are being Sponsored by The Stamping Boutique
They have the cutest images and have generously supplied us with several to create with!!

This cutie is call Twirling Fairy. After coloring her I drew her skirt on vellum and cut it
hoping it would give a clear look but no such luck! I added the clear glitter to
her wings and added some more sparkle to her skirt and
 the little stars around her.
She was cut out with a Spellbinder die and foam dotted onto the purple
piece. The background was a couple of Bo Bunny dps stitched on

The clear element which really doesnt show up very well is the sentiment stamped onto
a piece of acetate and cut out with a Marvy Schalloped circle punch.
I attached it onto the sheer bow and it done.
You have to stop over and see all the fun ideas all my teammates came up with!!
We would love to have you join us this week!

Friends of Speedy TV Challenge # 162

Happy Monday to you all!! Today our FOSTV Challenge is to make a Trifold Card.
Now there are several varieties to make.

For my card I started with a Paisley DP turning it lengthwise and adding a coordinating
rust colored strip on the edge. The striped closure is also a coordinating striped dp. Since time
is speeding by and it will be Father's Day before you know it I decided to get a head start. I
used a Spellbinders die for the rust and creme papers.
The old vintage card and sentiment are from the  Classic Dad Set. After coloring the card
I added some silver accents on the metal parts and cut it out.
The sentiment was also cut with a Spellbinder and them embossed a little rust color
added to the edges and foam dotted on.
On the inside I added a little of the dp and the Father's Day sentiment.

This is the inside of the card...

Since there are different types of Trifolds my teamies went several different directions.
Janine also has listed different sites for you to find instructions on also.
Be sure to stop over to see my talented teammates
cards and also join us this week!!

Is it Spring yet??

Actually where I live its more like summer!! Its already been 99 degrees here
in the desert. We  had a bit of a cooling trend the past few days and it has
dropped back down into the 80's.
So needless to say everything in our area is green and in full bloom.

So all that to say the
Green is always part of spring so I started with the green dotted dp. I combined
it with a pink stripe, stitched them on and zig zagged down the center. A bit of
distressing around the edges after I stitched them down.A Spellbinder border die
was used for the bottom strip. The image is one of the
new April Releases Gardenias. After coloring the flower I cut it out with a
Spellbinder die letting the leaves lap over. The pink Scalloped Square
is also cut with  a Spellbinder die . I tied a piece of dyed ribbon onto the corner and
added some cheese cloth to the back before attaching the image with foam dots.
Spring Colors can be used all different ways
so come on over and join us this week.
My teamies have lots of GREAT examples for you!
