I don't normally to man cards but this card is for the birthday of my son in law. I chose to use an image of this kiowa as he flies a kiowa helicopter for the US Army.I used a ruddy brown ink to go around the edges of the pic then mounted it on black with the brads in the corners. The papers are all from Bo Bunny stitched and also ages with the ruddy brown. I mounted them on black and punched the black with a MS zig zag. I mounted the little star button which went well with the rest of the card. Since it was black I also punched the creme with the MS punch on each side, cut out the thinking of you with a scalloped circle punch , aged and mounted on the black square.

I love nasturtiams with their bright and cheery flowers and thier beautiful saucer size round leaves. They say spring to me. I used a piece of green sweet pear from Bo Bunny which I used a zigzig stitch around the edges in white and a straight stitch around the dotted piece. The small image is a psx and the large is rubber stampede. I watercolored them and stamped extras. Using my favorite technique paper piecing I cut out and popped up some of the flowers, leaves and buds on both of the images to create some dimension. I also cut some out to mount on the sentiment. I used some generic punches for the layers of the sentiment. My wonderful button box yielded three perfect buttons to finish it off with.

I stamped two of the bird image by Hero Arts watercolored and cut them out layering one over the other. I embossed a piece of white with the musical notes, tore it out and aged. The heavy embossing of the musical notes added some great dimension. I tore out the sentiment and aged it also. I used a no name flourish to stamp in brown. Cut out a flower and leaves , shaped and mounted in the corner to add a little dimension and then added a bow with the pretty soft pink ribbon.

I used a Ms butterfly punch for the strip and used the little punched out ones adding antennae to them and pink stickles for the body. I cut out one of the flowers and foam dotted it up with a larger butterfly on it. I added a butterfly clip from my dodad box to the sentiment which was cut out with a nestie 13. The little white strip was run thru the cuttlebug embossing folder before adding the butterflies.

My card is for Just Us Girls: A flap Card
Stampin' Sisters in Christ: A card that uses a peaceful image or verse
Pixie Dust: Flowers & Buttons
Gingersnap Creations:Frosting
I Started with a very pretty aqua blue and white striped paper from My Minds Eye. The paper is aged with yellows and browns. It was very light weight so I adhered it to the white cardstock on one side. The sentiment just wasnt working on the outside of my flap so I put it on the inside. I chose the sentiment based on the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge based on Psalm 29:11. I cut it out with the # 10 nestie. I had a very pretty piece of Make and Create paper with these pretty flowers that were just to pale to show up. I scanned and printed a couple of copies, that I watercolored and cut out. I used one flower and bud on the sentiment. I also cut a pocket and used the MS iron fence border punch for a decorative edge and added some little stickle dots to it. I created the pocket to put a note and a little treasure in. I have created this with one of the ladies in my Womens Ministry in mind. On the outside I also punched the edge with the iron works. I then punched two holes to run the ribbon thru. Next I sewed on the button to tie the ribbon around. Lastly I added some stickles all around the edges, centers and stamens of my flowers to give them some sparkle and the attached two layers one directly onto the card and the other foam dotted on top of it to create more dimension.

My card is for The Play Date Cafe: Peagreen, lavender and creme
Fussy & Fancy: Green
Die Cut Dreams: Pack a punch
Crafty Creations: Make your own flowers
Crafty Card Makers: Feminine
The Pink Elephant: Spring
Crafty Calender: Flowers
My card started with a creme base and then a layer of My minds eye green and lavender print next cut an oval of My minds eye lavender print. I used the spellbinder square fleur de lis to punch out two of the creme. I added a purple picot ribbon across the center. Next I cut out the image and placed on top of the creme. I used a cuttlebug corner to cut the lavender scrolls for the 4 corners. I used a oval punch to cut out the parts to form the rose and then sprayed with the lavender shimmer spray and a little stickles on the edges of some of the petals. Next cut the two white spider flowers punched the centers and added stickles in them. I cut some of the leaves and used and Ms punch for some of them. Last I used the EK morrocan punch on the lavender print to form the edge. I also cut a strip of green and layered in with the purple for the inside of the card. The Minds Eye paper was aged so I added aging to all the edges.

My Card is for The Color Dare: Chocolate, celery and turquoise
Charisma Cardz: Butterflies
Flutterby: Butterflies, Angel, or Fairy
Pollycraft: Things with wings
Pixie Cottage: Green
CCEE Stampers:Caviar
I made a spring card adding a varigated brown paisley with tinges of green and turquoise on it. I used the spellbinder to cut out the brown and turquoise background. I ran the turquoise thru the cuttlebug to emboss it and used a strip on the bottom and cut the butterflies out of it also. I had a stampendous single rose stamp that I colored brown to resemble the leonidas rose which is a beautiful brown to creme and cut it out. I used celery to cut the background with a # 4 nestie and also for the sentiment and embossed them. I added the precut green butterfly which I added a little color to to make it more interesting and also added the black antennae. I added antennae and some stickles to the small butterflies and attached them to the sentiment. I used a punch to make the flower and put the layers together with a green brad. I used the fiskers fleur de lis to punch the brown and added the striped ribbon to finish it off.

Opps...added the inside first. :)
My Card is for Crazy4Challenges: A Man Card
Polka Doodles : A Milestone Birthday
This man card is for my husband as today is his 60th birthday!! My man is a motorcycle guy. .. he rides his bike wind, rain or shine. He actually rides a beautiful black and gold Indian Chief but I didnt have a stamp for an Indian. I used this old knucklehead Harley stamp. I colored all the engine parts, handlebars, lights and pipe silver. I distressed all the paper edges and raised the sentiment. He loves leather but I didnt have any thin enough to use on the card so I colored some ribbon to resemble leather and attached with the button. Added the birthday sentiment on the inside instead of the outside.

Crazy 4 Challenges: Paper Piercing
Penny Black: Easel Card
Crafty Calender: Flower Power
Lily of the Valley: Easel Card
Lexi's Creations: Anything goes
KL SNS: Buttons
I made this easel card using the Just us Girls sketch. The image is a Penny Black called acrobat. The two dps are Basic Grey called Issac and Aaron. I used the reverse scallop nestie to cut the blue and creme Papers. I stamped the image onto the cut circle and then stamped and cut multiple layers of the large flower to pop it up. The smaller flower was stamped ,watercolored, single layer cut out and attached after. I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss the two strips, added some color to them and then paper pierced all around the embossing and added some stickle to the centers. Used three blue buttons for the stop. I cut out some of the flowers from the dp and formed a circle, clipped little pieces of green to make grass around the little flower. I cut two layers of that flower and attached together with foam dots to make it strong enough t
o stand up.I added stickles to all the flowers to give them a little shimmer. I used a SU punch to cut the oval for the sentiment.

Creative Belli: Eyelets
Fab & Funky:Shaped card
Daring Cardmakers: Aquamarine

Color Dare: Celery, regal rose & turquoisepting turquoise
Get Sketchy: Shaped card/spring bonus

Pals Paper Arts: Think spring
Frosted Designs: Favorite Technique
I like easel cards because the can be so versatile. I used the decoupage technique. I had this beautiful print that I had be saving so time to break loose with it. It loosely fit the color dare with just a wee bit of celery in it. I also had a turquoise piece that was grungy with a faint flourish on one corner. I cut out that area with a label three nestie so the flourish would suggest tree limbs in the background. I also cut out two creme pieces and rand thru the cuttlebug folder to give some texture. I had the use two to frame the turquoise since I didnt have one big enough. I mounted them
behind the turquoise and foam dotted on. I stamped my bird on a limb image several times and cut them out. I laid the first one directly onto the turquoise paper. I then got some little twigs off a vine and bent them to follow the stamped image and glued it on. Then cut out the second image and and leaves and mounted part onto the twig and foam mounted the rest. Some of the leaves have three layers. You can look at the one side pic that shows the layers. I drew and colored a few more leaves and glued a few singles onto the vine also. I then added the fence that my friend sent me and a turquoise strip to finish it. I made flowers using a dotted turquoise print, the solid turquoise, and creme, texturing, shaping and fastened together with rosey brads. I fastened one with some twigs and leaves at the top corner. Next I cut out the creme and turquoise with the smaller label three nestie, textured, shaded and added the sentiment. I then attached another piece of vine, leaves and a flower, bent the bottom back and attached so it stands up. I made one large flower using the nestie and cutting some freehand to form all the layers. I attached it with some leaves and more vine. Lastly I attached two rosy brads and one flower to act as a stop. This card has to be one of my alltime favorites Although the pictures do not really capture it, the colors are beautiful , the layers give it lots of dimension and its so springy!
